Welcome back to the pages of South x Southeast Magazine, the bi-monthly online magazine devoted to emerging, established, and iconic photographers.

I began SxSE in 2011, back when there were few online platforms for fine art photographers to show their work – especially those whose careers were still emerging. After working as co-director of SlowExposures for the previous 8 years I recognized the need for such a platform and, combining my experience in magazines with my history and love of photography, SxSE was born.

With the exception of the occasional intern, this has been my baby alone. And a year ago I recognized the early signs of burn-out in myself. Thus, the absence.

So, I thank you for your patience, and I’m proud to present you with the current issue and a promise of much more to come.
