For two years, Donna Wesley Spencer visited wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centers to learn about and photograph animals and the people who care for them. Every year thousands of wild animals arrive in need of care. Their issues illustrate the problems that are diminishing their numbers – habitat loss, climate change, and human actions. Recover & Release includes 50 photographs and comments from wildlife rehabilitators about their concerns and their work.
